A Guide To Using Proboards

1. This is the Home button, you can press this where ever you are on this forum and it will take you back to the home page.
2. This is the New Topics button. It links to a list of the newest threads that have been made on this forum
3. This is The Help button, it takes you to a proboards site explaining various topics.
4. This is The Search Button, you can use this to search for posts containing certain words or phrases.
5. This is The Members button that takes you to a list to this forums members
6. The calendar button will take you to a calendar of the members birthdays.
7. The Profile Button will take you to your profile, more information on that below.
8. The log out button will log you out.
9. This button will lead you to your personal messages, more on that below
10. This button will take you to the messages you've sent.
11. This button will take you to where you can change your message preferences, block users or change your notification settings.
12.This link will open the option to write a new message to another user.
13.This is the name of the category, on this forum they will describe the area of Hogwarts the boards are.
14. This is the Name of the board, if you click this it will take you to the threads in this certain area of Hogwarts.
15. This area tells you who was the last person to post on a thread in this board.
16. This is a side bar that explains this forums plot.
17. This side bar will show the house points that have been earned by members.

18. Sub-boards are Boards, that are in boards, We use these mostly because we don;t want area's to be lost amongst the threads of a board. The work the same as boards.
19. This the name of the Sub board, this is where you can make a plotting page for your character, codes can be found on support pages, if you need help just message the admin.
20. Here you can see how many different threads are in this board, and how many posts make them.
21. Here, like in the first post it will show you was the last person to post on this board and what their last thread was.
22. Here is another sub board, on this one when you post your name you'll get sorted.
23. Here, if you click the 'New Thread' link it will allow you to make a new thread, more on that below.
24. This is the name of a thread, you can create these by clicking 'New Thread' more on that below.
25. In this thread you can reply with your character's information to help the admin sort you.
26. In this thread there is information on which spells are suitable for each grade.
27. If the 'New' icon appears it means that there are new posts in a thread since you last logged on.

28. This is the thread's title.
29. This is the poster's information, their house, name and any special social standing like quidditch, prefect ect.
30. This is the characters Profile Picture, if you need help setting yours, contact the admin for help.
31. This area lets you know how old this topic is.
32. We encourage you to post gifs if you are starting a new thread, but only once during each thread.
33. Basic information of the poster.
34. Here you can see how active this member is by the amount of posts that they have made.
35. This is the members karma, you can give them more or take them away by exalting (to increase) or (smite) to decrease.
36. This is the body of the post, make sure you read this carefully before posting for spelling or grammar errors.
37. Use this link to modify a post after you've posted it.
38. Use this link to delete a post after you've posted it.
39. Use this link to reply to this post, more on this below.
40. Use this as a quick reply, particularly handy if you have become good at coding to quick reply.
41. Use this to book mark this post, to make it easier to get to, a link to your bookmarks can be found in your profile, more on that below.
