STRENGTHS:
Unsurprisingly Oliver is rather cocky and self assured and this gives him the determination and persistence to get what he wants, or at least to give it his best shot, anyway. Despite being a pureblood Slytherin, he believes in some sense of equality amongst everyone, firmly believing that everyone, at the end of the day, is the same as everyone else. On most occasions, this has helped him progress to where he is now and it’s something that he’s normally rather proud of. Another thing that’s helped him progress through school is the fact that he’s a good leader, something else that Oliver has funnily enough managed to use to his advantage on more than one occasion.
WEAKNESSES:
While his cockiness and self assuredness has helped him on quite a few occasions it has also blown up in his face as well, especially when it involves girls and his plans not going the way he wants them to. Oliver is your typical teenager and the first and last thing on his mind each day is always somehow female related. He wants to live his life to the fullest and of course this means trying everything at least once, even if that means trying every girl he can get his hands on at least once, which, of course, tends to leave some very angry females in his wake. Unable to truly learn from his lessons though, he just keeps on putting one foot in front of the other, letting his weaknesses get the better of him sometimes.
DETAILED PERSONALITY:
Oliver Cromwell. Cocky and self assured, caring and sweet, persistent and determined. Truly a clash of traits if ever there were some. He manages to make them work most of the time though and perhaps that is the greatest gift of being a teenage wizard in a school full of other teenage wizards. He goes looking for trouble and trouble goes looking for him in whatever form it may involve. Fond of destruction, Oliver has spent many an evening serving detention for his tricks, but that isn’t all that there is to him, either.
Surprisingly he manages to get rather good marks at school, secretly being fond of reading. And while you’re more likely to find him scratching something obscene into his school desk he’s really quite good at art in general. There’s more to this young man than he lets meet the eye, but most people tend to over look such a thing, simply putting him down to being a Slytherin riff raff and leaving it at that. This doesn’t particularly worry him all that much however and so Oliver just continues to live his life one day at a time, welcoming whatever it brings his way.
PLATFORM NINE AND THREE QUARTERS:
Charming. Oliver was always as charming as it was necessary for him to be in any given moment. When it came to his mother, however, he had a soft spot and this, funnily enough, meant that his charm was genuine. He kissed her cheek gently, embracing her briefly before turning to his father, clasping his hand and shaking it before turning away from his parents and towards the train. They were close and this was perhaps the only downside of going back to school, having to bid them goodbye. It was the seventh time he’d had to do it though and so by now the routine was definitely perfect. Make the goodbye as brief as possible so as to not over think it and as to not allow him mother time to get upset.
Without another word Oliver grabbed the handle of his trunk and set off for the first free doorway onto the train he could find, quickly finding a carriage that looked like it would suit him for the journey (one full of girls, of course) before stowing his trunk away and settling himself amidst them. Another year of school, another year of games and fun. His final year, and it went without saying that he was definitely ready for it to begin.
