DISLIKES: Incompetent students, Dishonest people, Pumpkin juice, Small insects, Being underestimated, Hypocrites
STRENGTHS: Beatrice is incredibly skilled in Transfiguration despite the fact that she is not an animagus. Her talent for the subject was first noticed in her first year at Hogwarts and she was encouraged through her time to develop further. She hopes that she is able to also inspire students with a gift for the subject of Transfiguration. She is also strong minded, which certainly helps her in arguments. Beatrice is also very articulate and pays attention to details which helps her perform well when doing a variety of spells. Despite appearing quite mean to those who do not know her, she can be quite tactful when dealing with personal issues. Reading is a passion of her and she likes to think she is good at it and can decipher several meanings from one piece of text – looking at all of the possibilities and using her thirst for knowledge to gain more from it than the average person.
WEAKNESSES: She is a stubborn woman and many people mistake this for being argumentative. Beatrice has never been good with taking care of animals. She doesn't own a personal owl, but instead uses the ones at Hogwarts. Her husband says that she comes across as cold to other people – this is the way she portrays herself in her professional work. Getting annoyed easily, she cannot stand incompetent students who are disrespectful and those who never hand homework in on time. Beatrice needs to raise her tolerance levels as she enjoys dishing out detentions just a little too much. Her high expectations and high level of perfectionism can sometimes slow her down in work that needs to be done quickly.
DETAILED PERSONALITY: She is very much a workaholic and never seems to take a break from marking papers or coming up with new lesson plans. This may be interpreted as a sign of dedication to the job, which it is to a certain degree – but more so about being prepared, as one of her pet hates are being unorganised and leaving things until the last minute. Beatrice rarely shows much emotion to the students as she feels it is unprofessional practice and appears to be cold hearted. Order and planning is what she feels most comfortable doing, as well as reading. Beatrice always wants to learn more about the world she lives in.
Beatrice can be quite intolerant at times and sometimes snaps at students whom she deems ‘irresponsible’ and ‘lazy’. She values the students who can arrive to class on time and give in their homework on time aswell. She also loves writing as it is a tool to allow her creativity to run free, although she never shares her material with anyone and usually throws it away afterwards. Beatrice is a materialistic person and likes all things shiny, as she is never seen without some form of jewellery. Her favourite jewellery is earrings and necklaces. She enjoys having intellectual conversations with other people.
PLATFORM NINE AND THREE QUARTERS:
Beatrice was standing on the platform rather awkwardly, with her arms folded across her chest. She wished that she had not volunteered to accompany the students on their way to Hogwarts, as none of the Professors usually did. With a slight groan, she took out her wand. Wingardium Leviosa, she thought in her head and closed her eyes for a short moment to add to her concentration. With an appropriate flick of her wand, her extra large trunk lifted up into the air and obeyed to every movement her wand made. The students surrounding the train seemed to quickly clear the space, leaving a large gap between themselves and the hovering trunk. She nodded her head gracefully at them all for having the decency to move out of the way. Although the train was not due to set off for another 10 minutes, she wished for a decent compartment in order to be on her own. Beatrice settled upon the first compartment in her sight and directed her trunk up onto the shelf. Then she quickly shut the door in an attempt to hopefully ward off any students who may wish to join her. Accio, Transfiguration Textbook She said in her head, this then followed by the book flying towards her and landing on her lap nicely.
She is applying for Head of Ravenclaw and Transfiguration Professor.[/b]
