Marcus stood back and crossed his arms, eager to watch the awkward show that was unfolding before him. He looked to Rowan then to Jason, it could turn into a vet entertaining game of verbal ping pong.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Jason. I wish I had been better at potions in school but I was hopeless."She laughed a bit. She was glad to meet the knew professor she always liked meeting new people even if they seemed out of sort which he did. She looked at Marcus and had a feeling he was the reason Jason was out of sorts. She had the feeling Marcus was also . . . waiting for something almost. It made her feel rather odd, but he just had that effect on her sometimes. "Don't hesitate to ask if you need anything." She was doing her best to be the perky optimist that she was usually. Optimism was always better when first meeting a person and as far as coworkers she wanted to make the best impression possible.

Jason smiled at her introduction, a strange tension in his chest, giving him the thought that he might actually explode from it.
"Thanks!" He said, probably a little bit too enthusiastically, trying to pull himself together still. "Ohh ah I'll be sure to ask of I need anything from you." He said with a smile, noting thankfully that his voice had leveled out to a calmer tone.

"Professor Rowan is a sweet heart" Marcus said with a wink to his familiar work mate. "We've got great staff here, it's so much fun working here." he added, his first few serious words with the new commer, and a slight sales pitch for the words best job slipped in there as well.

"You are perfectly welcome I'm always willing to help I remember what it was like my first year." She smiled back at Marcus. She wasn't sure if he meant the bit about her being a sweet heart but she did try. She had to agree with him about the great staff and how much fun it was to teach here. "You should listen Jason I think Marcus is actually being serious and that is note worthy since it doesn't happen often." She smiled at Marcus in the way a younger sister might tease or scold her brother.

Jason smiled, the friendly banter between the two professors made him oddly happy, perhaps this would be a very welcoming environment, these two seemed very friendly so far, if not confusing.
"So uh." Jason said, feeling awkward now, trying to think of a new topic of conversation. "Are there any students I should be watching out for?" He asked.
