Rowan was not looking forward to her Slytherin Gryffindor class. She was a little worried about it, but she had dealt with the rival houses together plenty of time before. She just wished at least once they would split the two up. She had such a horrid time trying to keep them from hexing each other her first year, but it had gotten easier since than. She still pitied anyone who had Slytherin and Gryffindor in the same class though. She tried to stay up beat and smiling for the arrival of the students though. It wouldn't do to show any fear.
She had set up the classroom differently than the normal desks and chairs for this first class. The entire room was clear except for a circle of couches and armchairs in the very center of the room, and a pile of hidden objects in the middle. She thought it would be a fun way to start the year if they all sat in a more comfortable setting everyone would choose and object and then she would tell them what to do with the object for example there was tea pot and whoever chose the tea pot would have to make it tap dance. It just seemed like a more fun way to figure out what they remembered from last year.

Zacharias was surprised to be the first one in the class, although it didn't really bother him. It was extremely rare for him to be this punctual but he wasn't the type of person to skip classes for the sake of it. The classroom was set up differently from normal and Zach had a feeling that it was going to be a good lesson. He took a seat on one of the couches and found it surprisingly comfortable, sinking deeply into it and leaning back. Professor Harrison was nice enough, if he remembered correctly from last year. Zach directed a smile at the Professor, but didn't know what to say. Instead he was looking around the room and watched the other students file into the room.

It was no secret that Corey wasn't a fan of Charms. But then, most people would say he wasn't a fan of anything, and well, they'd be right. Even so, he was dreading this years Charms classes more than usual. Gryffindor and Slytherin classes never went well, the students in both houses only seemed to share one trait. Pride. And when you fill a classroom with a bunch of proud kids shooting charms everywhere it's essentially a time bomb.
That's why Corey liked to come early, beat the crowds, secure a place in the back, which is why he was dismayed to find the desks gone when he entered.
'Why do they want to keep the lessons fun?' Corey asked himself of the Professors, it seemed like lately they were never doing any just sitting and writing. He was sure it appealed to the other students, but not him.
He took a reluctant spot in front of the pile of.... stuff would be the best way to describe it, making sure it was between him and the door.

Ella made a point to attend the Gryffindor classes.
There always seemed to be more of a spark in there air when they were mixed with the certain students... Plus it was the perfect ground to plant seeds in a few of the Gryffindor boys heads. She noticed two other students in the class... Apparently she was early. She didn't let that throw her off, and she decided quickly to take a place opposite Corey around the circle of stuff, so she was able to keep eyes on for the class. She eyes the other Gryffindor, Zacharias and give him a smile. This could be interesting.

She could feel the tension in the room already. She was just glad that this wouldn't be one of the classes where they were supposed to aim charms at each other that was always the worst. The atmosphere in this room was much different than it had been in her Ravenclaw Hufflepuff class though. None of the students had said anything since their arrival. She tried to keep her sigh silent as she took a place leaning against her desk. "I would like everyone to pick an object from the pile and then I will let you know what we will spend the rest of the period doing."

Corey shot another scowl at Ella before reaching into the pile and pulling out an innocent looking milk pitcher. He sighed as he looked it over hoping his decision wouldn't come back and haunt him.
