She nodded dumbly. That's how she felt right then, dumb. Dumb for thinking he might want to go on a date with her, dumb for having brought it up at all. But she smiled at him anyway. Because he had such a nice smile - it was contagious. "Though I'm sure when the castle is empty the library is lovely."

'Well perhaps we'll have to make an exception and visit it then' Declan shrugged. It wasn't like they wouldn't have hours to kill anyway, a little time spent in the library surely wouldn't hurt, and it wasn't like he minded meeting here anyway, it had simply been her request for elsewhere that had brought that on.

She was confused. He still wanted to see her, it seemed. Not what she'd thought at all. Still, she felt incredibly nervous. "Perhaps" She agreed, closing the book he'd slid over about Voldemort and handing it back. "Sometimes I feel like I'm here all day every day" She said quietly after a minute, shaking her head, "Thinking about it, I don't know how I handle all that quiet."

'Excessive quiet is better than excessive noise' Declan shrugged, not really speaking for her, but more for himself. That was just how he felt and he knew that it would take something incredibly drastic to change that.

"Suppose we're disturbing them?" Scarlett asked, not worried but mostly curious. It was, after all "inappropriate" to talk so openly in the library.

'There's nothing stopping them from moving elsewhere' Declan shrugged, figuring they should have more self control and just buckle down and concentrate anyway.

She wondered if he would feel the same were the situation reversed. "I guess that's true." She nodded anyway. "Are you done your reading for the day?"

'I think I'll just take these' Declan nodded, happy enough with what he'd read and willing to investigate it a little more, maybe even make copies for his collection of information.

'I suppose ultimately his defeat, but only because that's what everything was the lead up to. Studying his whole history is the goal though' Declan admitted, figuring it was true enough, simply because that was what the big finale was.

'It's all my parents talk about. You can't really listen to that all your life and not be curious about it, I guess' Declan shrugged, suddenly feeling like the conversation was heading in a direction he didn't really want it to.
