BOGGART: Declan is afraid of the way his parents are so intimidating, the way they control his life so simply, and so his boggart is simply a form of them. To destroy it, he imagines them growing and expanding until they explode.

STRENGTHS:
Declan truly isn't interested in where you came from. In fact, he thinks that everyone's just as equal as the next person, especially when it comes to making mistakes. This, in a way, has given him a quite effective ability to make rational decisions because he's unhindered by a sense of loyalty towards a certain group of people. He's been known to have an uncaring nature towards other people, but this means that his feelings aren't able to be hurt, or not very easily, anyway, and it's this cold demeanour that has allowed him to come very close to perfecting his self control, at least until someone upsets him and then there's no hesitation from Declan to jump straight into a lesson of some sort, or a duel when it's necessary.
WEAKNESSES:
Declan's insistence that people can be trained to react in the right way has gotten him into a lot of trouble in the past. He's a little too fond of people reactions and tends to do whatever necessary to ensure he gets a reaction of some form or another, especially when his temper is involved. In fact, it's his temper that generally leads to a need for him to teach people a lesson for the things that they've done no matter the means and he's been known to threaten to use an unforgivable curse or two on his fellow schoolmates. When it all comes down to it, Declan has a great need for control over a situation and this is what has lead to him delving in his other habits.
DETAILED PERSONALITY:
RATIONAL: There isn’t a doubt in anyone’s mind that when it comes to making a rational decision, Declan is the best person to contact. However, being rational isn’t always a good thing. While it helps him to make the obvious decision, the one that makes the most sense theoretically, it doesn’t always make Declan look like a good person, simply because it can often make him appear cold or calloused, which, in a sense, he probably is.
CALLOUSED: How you describe Declan would depend on whether you’re trying to stick up for him or be completely honest, because if it were the former, you’d say that he was calloused, although those in favour of the latter would simply say that he’s cruel. He looks for reactions in things, whether it be people, animals or simple every day objects, Declan has an obsession with reactions and he’ll do about anything to get the desired one.
TEMPER: If left alone, you would barely even notice Declan in a room. He’d simply be the kid in the corner you’d hardly look twice at. The same can’t be said if you were to approach him and begin to talk to him about things that he didn’t think were any of your business. Questioning him about his personal life isn’t something that would be strongly suggested because quite simply, Declan’s more than likely going to blow a fuse and you’ll more than likely be on the receiving end of something you’ll wish you’d never set off.
DEDICATED: If Declan likes something, there’s no in-between for him., he’ll like it to the extreme. He has a deeply curious interest in the Dark Lord and it shows in the way that he dedicates large portions of his spare time to reseaching his obsession. In fact, he's spent the better part of his teenage years dedicated to his research and to him it's paying off by what he's learnt.
CARING: Despite all the bad in Declan, there is good and if you manage to get on his good side he’ll put you before he’d even put himself. However, this is an incredibly difficult situation to find yourself in and those who try to get on his good side more often than not wind up shot down, left crawling away with their tail between their legs, unable to handle the hard, outer shell that is Declan Fletcher.
PLATFORM NINE AND THREE QUARTERS:
This was the part of returning to school that Declan hated the most. He strongly disliked the idea of being cooped up somewhere with other people and no means of escaping them, or at least a very limited means of escaping them, anyway. Unfortunately there was nothing that he could do about it because the Hogwarts Express was the only way to return to the school and Declan, despite his dislike for large aspects of it, was looking forward to returning to Hogwarts. With no inclination of bidding his parents goodbye, the young male boarded the train and found himself the quietest carriage he could for the last time.
