Loitering outside the staff room? Quite boring, really, unless you were up to something that you shouldn’t have been, which was exactly what Oliver was doing at the moment. Of course he didn’t know the password into the bloody room and so the best he could really do was sabotage it from outside, which was what his intention today just so happened to be.
The idea had come to him during one particularly boring Divination’s class (okay, so admittedly it was just as boring as every other lesson, but that was surely besides the point!) and sure, maybe he’d stolen it off of something he’d seen Peeves do (again, besides the point), but sabotage with slime really was too good to pass up, even if it did entail a bit of work. Eventually he managed to suspend the buckets up in the air so they only triggered when the portrait flew open though and Oliver settled a distance away down the corridor to wait and watch, more than excited to see this prank put into action.

Jess was so done with today. Not that she usually got to that point but her stressful day seemed to cap itself off with her missing lunch. Which is not something that she ever wants to happen again. So now, here she was, en-route too the Common Room to raid her stash of sweets, digging through her bag, convinced that she had left her potions text book behind, and, well perfect, the classroom that couldn't possibly be further away from her common room when she was tired, hungry and irritated.
Passing by the staff room, for some reason, always especially cautious, she noticed to buckets suspended. She paused to look at them. It was odd to say the least.

Curiosity killed the cat and it really was hilarious to Oliver who never ceased to be amused by what caught people's eyes, which was why when someone stopped to look at his latest prank he simply continued to watch on, actually curious to see whether this unknown girl would get the blame when it all went downhill, which was bound to happen sooner or later.
