Rebekah had been out in the courtyard working on a History of Magic essay when she’d stumbled across something she didn’t have an answer for. Having spent the last hour and a half scouring books trying to find that answer she’d finally given up and shoved all her belongings back into her back, deciding the best solution would be to simply come in and find someone to ask. Walking back into the castle she decided the best place to start would probably be the staff room but having reached the door and knocked only to receive no answer she’d turned away and started heading towards the next floor only to spot Peeves at the top of the stair case, which stopped her dead in her tracks. Not wanting to be one of his victims, she turned around and headed back to the staff room, leaning against the opposite wall and deciding to just wait there until either Peeves left or someone who could help her presented themselves.

Landon was on his way to the Library to do some catching up on some work. He was behind in a couple of classes because he just hadn't been doing the homework; too busy doing other things. Or people, as the case might have been. As he passed the staff lounge his eyebrows raised, seeing Rebekah there. "Waiting for someone?" He asked casually, leaning next to her.

Rebekah, mood feral now that she'd been waiting there for at least fifteen minutes, simply pointed to the top of the stairs where Peeves was still sitting when Landon appeared and asked her whether she was waiting for someone. She knew she could have just gone down to the dungeons and come back later but she knew that if she left it till later she wouldn't do it, and that wasn't exactly something that she wanted right now. She knew that this was the only piece of work left between her staying on top of her homework and not having to do anything on the weekend and she wanted that quite badly, funnily enough.

"You're waiting for Peeves?" Landon asked, eyebrows raised. He assumed she was smarter than that and that she wasn't waiting for Peeves, but still. She made it seem that way.

'Of course I'm waiting for Peeves!' Rebekah burst out, glaring at him and his stupid raised eyebrows. If she tried and stopped him from doing whatever he was doing then she'd only invite him to attack her even more and she wasn't stupid enough to fall for that. Besides, waiting for Peeves also meant time to wait for a teacher to appear to help her, which wasn't really such a bad thing.

He smirked at her, continuing to raise his eyebrows. "You're gorgeous when you get mad at me," Landon told her, "Why are you trying to get up there, don't you live down?"

'Do you know where the goblins from the Hogsmeade part of the rebellion are buried? Because none of these stupid books say anything about it' Rebekah quizzed him in a demanding tone, answering his question in a roundabout way and ignoring his comment about being gorgeous when she was mad at him because it only infuriated her more.

"Gringotts" Landon answered easily, "Deep in the tunnels. They didn't want any of the other species to have their dead or the powers that can come from a Goblin's blood, so they buried them in the safest place."

'You better not be making this up' Rebekah glared, not entirely sure she believed it but figuring it sounded better than anywhere else she'd come up with so far and she was sick of waiting for Peeves to move, so she sunk to the ground and pulled her essay out.

"Why would I make that up?" He asked. Landon was good at History. It was black and white. He was good at things like that. [

Rebekah simply shrugged her shoulders, not sure why anyone would make up something like that but knowing that people often did, just to piss others off. She quickly put her quill to parchment and jotted it down though, grinning briefly in satisfaction once she was done before rolling it up and stuffing it back in her bag, quite pleased to be able to say she was done all her homework and now entirely free for the weekend that was coming up.

"Is that all you were waiting for?" Landon asked, wondering if it was why she was so cranky, too.

'Yup. Now I'm free all weekend' Rebekah grinned proudly, rather pleased with the fact and having no problem letting it be known. There was no way she had been planning to let that stupid poltergeist ruin her weekend.

He smirked, "Surely I deserve some sort of reward for assisting in that?"

'Ohh I don't know about that! I just got my weekend free and you're already looking to take that off me?' Rebekah teased playfully, mood well and truly having improved now.
