At that, Vivienne couldn't help but blush just a little. It wasn't very often she was called beautiful, and truth be told, she liked it. She pulled another book, holding it to her face as to mask her flushed cheeks in the shadowy bookcases. "You flatter me." To say she was awkward around boys was an understatement. But no one could say she didn't try.

"Flattery is usually insincere," Landon countered, putting his hand on the book to lower it from her face and using the other to gently brush the back of his fingers over her cheek. "You're really stunning."

There were so many things running through her mind, the book gently pressed against the bridge of her nose. Vivienne didn't know how to handle a situation like that. She excelled in school life, not a social life.
He lowered the book from her face, and she could feel her face getting hot. Even in a situation like this he still managed to be smart about it, disproving her statement of flattery. She wasn't used to being so close and in such an intimate environment with one person. "Th-thank you. But you really don't have to say that." This wasn't her forte, and it didn't help that Landon was as attractive as he was. "It's evident that you're the attractive one here."

"Now that's flattery" Landon informed, smiling at her and taking a quick glance at her lips. Making eye contact again, he shook his head, "You're crazy if you don't think you're beautiful. Your eyes sparkle like diamonds and your lips are perfect" He explained, "I don't think I've ever seen a girl as pretty as you are." Not exactly true, but it worked for his purposes.

There were so many things wrong with the situation. Vivienne was in a very secluded area of a library with a boy she just met, looking for a secret passage she never heard of in her life. Odd, indeed.
She truly meant that he was attractive, but Viv couldn't help but feel uncomfortable in such an intimate situation. She slowly pulled away, turning to the bookcase and pulling out another book. Her head was hot and she could practically hear her own heart beat. "Now I know that's flattery. It sounds like it popped out of a storybook." She said, trying to regain her thoughts and her composure. Her mind was practically swimming at the moment.

"Flattery and honesty are different," Landon reiterated, feeling that he'd made her flustered enough, for the moment. "I think you're beautiful" And with that, he set to pulling out another dusty old book.

Her face was still as hot as before, but her pulse was slowing. That was good, at least. She tugged out a book and glared at the cover for a moment or two, brushing off the dust and replacing it. "Thank you. You make me blush, you know." Vivienne couldn't believe she was as flustered as she was.

"I think your blush is cute," Landon answered, glancing over at her with a smile before pulling out another book, and another.
