It had been a while since Mic had gotten out for a fly. He used to have practice all the time being a beater on the Gryffindor team, but with his duties as head boy and his NEWT level exams this year he had decided he just didn't have time for quiditch. He knew that this probably stung a good number of his former team mates but probably no one was stung by it more than Chuck. They were good friends, but unlike Chuck quditch was not Mic's life. He knew that she just liked to bait him though. Their bantering over his leaving the team was all in good fun.
He took lazy turns around the top of the pitch swinging his old beater bat back and forth. One of the things he liked about flying for himself was that he could go as fast or as slow as he liked. After about fifteen minutes he just hovered a few feet up in the air in the very center of the pitch laying back on his broom looking at the sky. It was peaceful out here. This would be the ideal place to come and think if it were free more often.

"Ey, the pitch is for players, not abandoners" Chuck called out to Mic - teasingly of course - the moment she walked out onto the pitch and spotted him. It was a bit of a sore spot deep down, but the Gryffindor captain joked to keep herself from letting him know that she was actually upset. She was, really. She felt safer when Pacirino was the beater keeping bludgers from coming her way. She felt safer knowing that he was around, in general. It was a crazy thing to be sad or upset about, but she felt almost like he'd left her to do head duties; that he didn't care about her, not that he didn't care about quidditch.
So handling it in jest was the way to go. She was out on the pitch to book in some extra practice times (she liked to play one-on-one with some of the newer players so that they could learn more in shorter amounts of time and not slow down the team) but had spotted him hovering and decided to say hello. "What are you upto, Head Boy?"

He laughed and sat up on his broom so he could look at her. He was taller than her already but even more so now as he hovered. He lowered his broom down to the soft turf and slung it over his shoulder as he approached her. "As head Boy I feel required to inform you that since there is no booking on the schedule at the moment the pitch is open to anyone." He smirked at her. He then let out a laugh since it was all in good fun. He elbowed her lightly. "You know I didn't really abandon anyway Chuck I just resorted my priorities. I mean I'm not like you I couldn't make a living on quditch so I have to make sure I have some sort of talent." He shrugged falling into step next to her.
He thought for a moment what was he up to really? He wasn't even sure why he had come out here maybe he just wanted to see if he still could fly. He couldn't at home cause there wasn't any cover, but it looked like he still had enough ability not to fall off. "I'm not up to much really at least not as head boy. You know that school work is a different matter after all we have almost all the same classes." He groaned to express his dislike of the class load he was dealing with. "What about you quiditch captain found a replacement for me yet?" He would have loved to help pick his replacement, but knew that wouldn't be fair, he had made his choice and if there seeing the rest of the team and possible replacements would make it too tempting to him.

"Abandonment" Chuck answered, holding up a hand to show she wasn't hearing any of it. "Left us to die, you did." In all honesty she had no chance of replacing him. He was good - like she was. He might have downplayed it, like he couldn't have gone pro, but she was pretty sure it was a matter of desire, not ability. She did take his compliment in stride, though. She appreciated when people said she would be able to play professionally - it was something she was worried about, but also one of her biggest dreams. "Haven't replaced you yet - you could still come back" She teased, nudging him with raised eyebrows.
She hadn't taken all of the classes offered - Arithmancy she was useless at, same with Divination and Ancient Runes. She'd dropped them all the moment she had the opportunity, to be perfectly frank. For some reason unbeknownst to her she was still in Potions, though. "Ay, I've been meaning to ask you for your help with the potions assignment."

Michael shrugged again. He knew that she would continue the you could still come back even if she had replaced him. Mic had a fuller class load than she did which was another reason why he had decided not to play on the house team this year. He had dropped Care of Magical creatures and he had never taken up divinations, but he had kept all of his other classes. The only one he was even struggling with a little was Herbology. He was actually working at his classes though. He was working at some of them at least there were still a few where he didn't need to work potions being one of them.
At her request Mic laughed and shook his head a bit. He had known it wouldn't be long till she asked about potions. "Sure Chuck I'll help you I always do. Do you need understanding help practical application help, or both?" He knew it would probably be both, but she was one of his only real friends still in potions so he was determined to keep her there if she left who would share his work table. He shuddered at the thought of who he could end up stuck with.

"Are you actually asking what I need help with?" She asked, eyebrows raised. She needed help with both. She was rubbish at Potions and had been surprised she even made it in to the seventh year class. She needed all the help she could get. "Both, Mickie. Both." She assured. "Come on, tell me all the interesting things happening in the world of the Head Boy" She prodded, wondering if there was anything interesting to tell.

He shrugged, "I'm not actually asking just trying to make conversation really." He went over to a bench to sit for a while. She probably wanted to fly but he had been flying for a while already and now he wanted something wider than a broom to sit on for a bit. "There really isn't much to tell about being head boy. There are some great perks. I get to be out after hours and can even go into the restricted section of the library, not that it would interest you. You never were one for books. The out after hours . . . well it would be better if it wasn't to patrol the halls for students after curfew and I've done that enough time myself I feel bad for busting them." He shrugged. He was did bust students in restricted areas or out after curfew or for fighting but he didn't take joy in doing so. "I think the best perk I had two years ago anyway. The prefect bathroom that is. You probably know about it though after all can't you get in there as quditch captain? If you haven't tried it out already I totally recommend it. It is absolute heaven to sit there and soak till you get all pruny after a hard game in the mud and snow. You remember the one last year against Slytherin where it was sleeting and lasted for almost four hours? I think I fell asleep in the tubs up there it was so relaxing." His eyes closed in memory as if he were trying to fall asleep now which would have been nearly impossible on the beach.

"Look at you, rounding up the rebels and putting them in detention." Chuck joked, shaking her head fondly. She really liked hanging around with Mic - he was cute and sweet and really smart. Not that she liked him like that. Or... well, she didn't think she did. "What about you and the Head Girl? She's Slytherin, right? You getting along?"
She shivered at the mere thought of the sleet game, sitting herself on the ground in front of the bench, feet lightly tapping against his as he spoke. "I went up once but there was a Slytherin Prefect in, and he's been ogling me for years, so I left. Hardly seemed worth it if it meant him seeing me naked, you know?" She explained, shrugging. "Maybe I'll go up later today, my shoulders are feeling all tense from all this scheduling rubbish." And from the fact that she felt like it was all resting on her to win the quidditch cup this year; she could practically taste it. Gryffindor hadn't won in almost a decade and in her opinion it was about time they did.

He wasn't exactly sure what to say about Eden Wolf. She was nice enough to other people. He sort of clashed with her though. Under other circumstances they probably would have just avoided each other. He had to say something though. He thought for another moment. "She isn't bad for a Slytherin, but truthfully we tolerate each other cause we have to. I don't see some sort of friendship or relationship in the future with her that is for sure. Maybe by the end of the year we will be . . . friends? Well miracles do happen I suppose." He might stop playing music and take up playing golf instead, yeah right.
He nodded in approval. "It can get a bit crowded. Usually there is a partition that people can use for privacy but it does tend to disappear from time to time. I think it is peeves fault personally." He playfully tapped her feet back. He laughed. "In fifth year I 'accidentally' got myself into a huge bubble fight going on in there. It was a blast, but probably not the best idea." He laughed thinking how competitive it would get if it happened this year him and Landon alone would probably end up having a knockdown drag out fight.

"Oh really? I would have thought you were going to be together forever, the cutest head couple that there ever was" Chuck joked, kicking at the bottom of his foot. "With really smart babies who had no idea what house they would belong in or how they'd go about making both of you proud" She teased. She was only joking, of course. She knew better. She hadn't heard of him liking anyone, never mind Eden.
A bubble fight? That sounded interesting. She, personally, bathed nude, though. So it wouldn't be particularly fun - she'd be way too worried about being embarrassed and caught naked. "Well, maybe you should instigate another one?"

Michael chuckled at Chucks joke. If h hadn't known that she knew better he would have scolded her for it. He told Chuck almost everything though and she knew that romance wasn't exactly his thing. He could be romantic and he knew that he wasn't bad looking he just spent more time concentrating on his studies and such. He also had the flaw of never noticing when a girl was flirting with him and even worse if and when he was flirting back. "Oh yes Chuck I can see it now our terribly attractive but clever children desperate to please both of us and probably ending up in Hufflepuff." He scoffed at the very idea kicking her back lightly.
He had thought about starting a bubble fight over the summer holiday but then he got his head boy badge and knew he had to be more responsible. "Well as much fun as it would be all of us most likely fully clothed and drenched in sudsy water. Unfortunately I can't be the instigator." He looked a bit ruefully at the shiny badge on his robes. "Sometimes I hate this thing." He wanted to take it off and burn it at the moment. He really just wanted to be back on the quiditch team and able to cause trouble at the moment, but he knew he would regret it later if he wasn't head boy so instead he just sneered at the pin. "You know anyone else I might be able to talk into starting that bubble fight?" He raised a suggestive eyebrow, after all she wasn't even a prefect she was allowed to be a rambunctious student causing chaos.

Hey eyebrows raised. "So this bubble fight. It would happen when I'm in the bath, and naked?" Chuck asked, not sure he'd even understand where the insecurity came from. He knew how cute and popular he was. She had trouble understanding what people saw in her sometimes. Being so boyish in personality sometimes made her feel like she was a boy all over. "I don't know if I want to be the one instigating"

He rolled his eyes. "Don't get all self conscious on me now Chuck. You know you are precious, hell if I thought you would give me the time of day I'd ask you out." He gave a dismissive shrug as if the fact he would take her out was common knowledge though he had never mentioned it before. "Anyway the point of being the instigator is that you can start it whenever you like as in before you get in the bath before you are naked. If you start it you could even be in bubble fight appropriate clothing. Chances are that everyone will be so involved in the fights so quickly that they will be clothed anyway that is how it was in fifth year. Well there was that one couple . . . Never mind about that."
He started to swing his feet back and forth like a kid. He was starting to get the idea that trying to talk her into this was futile, but he wasn't about to give up just yet. Maybe he could convince someone else to start it, but for right now Chuck was really his best chance after all most of his friends didn't have excess to the prefects bathroom.

She snorted. Her give him the time of day? Right. "Oh please, you probably have girls begging at your feet, Pacirino; I'm just your awful Potions partner" Who no one asked on dates, really. She was more the type to sleep with than date, from her experience. "What even is bubble fight appropriate clothing?" Chuck asked, amused by his little ploy. She'd probably do it. Maybe. Okay, so she would definitely do it. "And how would I know when the best time was to start a bubble fight?" She assumed weekends, would be a great time, but maybe Saturday after breakfast or something? He'd know better than her.

He laughed. Even if girls were begging at his feet he wouldn't have noticed. "Please Chuck who would want a girl who begs? They are so clingy and needy yuck!" He would never want someone who begged for his attention people like that bothered him. If a person was secure and interesting enough they wouldn't need to beg for his attention he would give it willingly. Only people who weren't interesting on their own begged. "I would take my awful potions partner any day besides you have lots of talents potions just doesn't happen to be one of them." He laughed a bit and nudged her feet.
He smiled at her joke about what bubble fight appropriate clothing would be. He thought about it for a moment. He unfortunately had been in his school uniform. It took three drying spells to fix them. School robes were definitely not meant for a bubble fights. "I think a swimsuit would be appropriate for a bubble fight. I can't think of anything more appropriate. Bubble fights usually happen at pool parties so a bathing suit really is what should be worn of course if no one expects it . . ." He shrugged.
Now he had to consider timing. With all these question it might be better if he just started it himself, but he would have wanted Chuck to be there either way. She would probably take the rap for him though. He loved that about her. If it wasn't for her he would have gotten in much more trouble over the years than eh had. "Sunday. There has to be at least three people for a bubble fight to work. If you you go Sunday in the early afternoon there are usually at least three people. Set the taps for bubbles bubbles and more bubbles when the room is full of them just start chucking them at people. I am sure more people will come soon cause for some reason everyone wants to use the prefects bathroom on Sunday afternoon. whenever a new person comes in just hit them with a face full of bubbles and well from what I saw fifth year it is impossible not to retaliate to that." He was smiling ear to ear. The grin almost made him look like the Cheshire cat.
He decided it was time for a change of subject. "So why are you out here alone Chuck I would have thought you were training up Zach or someone? How he doing anyway?" Chuck knew that Michael tried to keep an eye on the younger boy. Everyone knew eh tried to look out for Zacharias like a little brother.
