Oh ho ho, did Marcus have a treat for the first lesson of the year. His little snakes and lions would be getting their hands really really rather dirty today.
He put a lot of effort into thus class, setting up the room so that there were rows of tables for the students to sit at for the first half of the class, which were all pointing to the from of the class room. And on a cleverly stage was a three meter long plant pot, which stood about half a meter high.
Of course the contents of the pot were a mystery, all that could be seen was the large calico sheet covering what ever plant was squirming underneath it.
He rubbed his hands together with a grin on his face as he looked over the class. Yes this was going to be a lot of fun.

Corey absolutely despised Herbology. It held all of the things that made a lesson easy to dislike, out doors, unpredictable study subjects, final grades dependent on something flourishing under his care and well, the Professor was weird.
Corey, having skipped breakfast this morning in favour of a cigarette at the gates, disappointingly found himself the first to arrive when he walked through the could you call a hole in the wall a door? door of the green house. He sighed as he sat in the back end of the classroom, eyeing the large sheet of calico wearily. 'Great, it's moving." He thought to himself disdainfully as he pulled out his parchment, ink and quill.

"Back for another year hey kiddo?" Marcus asked the only student in the room. "With all that sunny disposition, these plants won't need to eat for a week aye?" He asked, a grin cracking over his face at the mention of eating, looking for the material flowing over the top of the plant. A very faint trumpeting song could be heard from underneath at the sound of his voice.

Corey's only reply was a sour look over the top of his parchment. His gaze turning to the cloth when it made a noise. Ohh, so it was going to be one of those lessons hey?

He walked into the greenhouse at a quick pace, as he wanted to get in from outside. The weather wasn't too bad but neither was it absolutely amazing. With a bored look on his face, he sat in the middle of the greenhouse. The overly large plant pot made him a little interested and perhaps even slightly excited about the lesson. What the hell was in that thing? Zach loved things that were out of the usual when it came to classwork as it was actually able to hold his interest for a while. Once settled into his seat, he had a quick glance around the classroom and spotted a fellow Gryffindor. He wasn't looking too pleased so Zach thought it best to leave him alone. 'Let's hope none of the Slytherin House turn up..' He said in his head, as there could only be trouble once they arrived considering their bad reputation when put with Gryffindors.
