Oh ho ho, did Marcus have a treat for the first lesson of the year. His little puffs and feathers would be getting their hands really really rather dirty today.
He put a lot of effort into thus class, setting up the room so that there were rows of tables for the students to sit at for the first half of the class, which were all pointing to the from of the class room. And on a cleverly stage was a three meter long plant pot, which stood about half a meter high.
Of course the contents of the pot were a mystery, all that could be seen was the large calico sheet covering what ever plant was squirming underneath it.
He rubbed his hands together with a grin on his face as he looked over the class. Yes this was going to be a lot of fun.

Vivienne enjoyed a lot of her classes at Hogwarts. Herbology wasn't exactly at the top of her list, but it wasn't at the bottom either. If she ranked it, it would most likely be right in the middle.
Either way, she didn't want to be late to class and made it her priority to be at least a few minutes early.
She made her way onto the grounds and adjusted her Ravenclaw sweater. It was somewhat brisk today, and she was thankful for the warmth her sweater provided. Vivienne had her notebook and pencils ready, anxious to scribble down some notes. She continued onward until she got to the room. From there she adjusted her wardrobe again and stepped inside.
Vivienne found a seat in the front of the room. There she sat and placed her notebook on the desk, ready to begin.

Marcus shot his first student a smile. "Good morning Miss Coffey.: He chirped. "I don't think you'll be needing those today." He said, gesturing to her books and pencilled. "Not with the fun I've got planned today." He added, putting emphases on what he thought was the most important word there.

Jess looooved Herbology. It was one of her favourite classes, she seemed to have a knack for tending to plants, also it helped that the content book wise was so light. She was currently making her way too the Greenhouses, the held eaten piece of toast she was munching on happily was leaving crumbs on he jumper unnoticed. She smiled as she entered the greenhouse, Professor Swanson was her absolute favourite.
"Good morning Professor!" She chirped happily as she spotted him at the front of the class, she spotted Viv and made her way over to sit next to her.
"Hey roomie." She sing-songed as she sat down, noticing her crumbs and brushing them off.

Marcus shot Jess a grin, a pleasure of a student to teach really. "Well look at this, two feathers of a cap." He said, looking over the two Ravenclaw girls who were brave enough to sit so close to the moving cloth covering a plant that had started to trumpet quietly. He hoped that the pun wasn't lost on them.

Marianne was absolutely elated for Herbology. She was fascinated with plants, she enjoyed looking at them, smelling them, tending to them, and even talking to them. If she could spend her day in once class and one class only, it would definitely be Herbology. So it was no surprise she practically bolted across the grounds to the greenhouse where class was being held. Her hair was slightly wind blown and astray, but she didn't mind.
She opened the door and stepped inside, two other girls were already there. "Good morning everybody!" She chirped, skipping to the front of the class and sitting at the table just opposite of the two Ravenclaw girls.
Marianne caught sight of the moving sheet and was instantly entranced. She couldn't wait to see what was hiding underneath, and it moved! That simply added to her enthusiasm. She placed her chin in her hands and watched the mysterious plant lovingly.

Herbology was one of those classes that Nathan promised himself he would be better at... That meant arriving early Ravenclaw early. So there is was, amongst the first to arrive in the Greenhouse.
The first thing he noticed was the giant three meter long cloth, hiding what was obviously a three meter long plant. Oh God. The second thing he noticed was Jess and Viv sitting front a centre. "Oh man..." He sighed as he made his way to the front of the class room to sit next to Jess.
"Morning Professor." He parroted, the same greeting for all his professors. He took his seat by Jess and mumbles 'Could you sit any closer to the mystery death plant?' to the girls under his breath.

"Loving the positive energy Rockefeller." He said, shooting her a smile. Marcus' default setting was usually buzzing, but throw in a couple of positive students and he was bouncing from the walls.... In a professional way though... of course.

At the professor's request, Vivienne nodded and stored the typical note taking devices.
Jess was next to arrive, and she always put a smile on Viv's face. She was quirky and social and a generally fun girl. She sat down next to her and greeted her, brushing off the crumbs she managed to get all over her clothes. Jess seemed to be messy sometimes too. "Morning! I bet you're all excited about this class, huh?" Vivienne knew Jess enjoyed Herbology, and she was probably pumped about it. Moreso than her at least.
She chuckled at the professor's comment, a nice pun indeed.
Nathan came in and sat with the two at the table, muttering something about the plant to Jess. Vivienne just continued to smile, waiting for class to begin.

Marianne enjoyed Herbology so much, she would be bouncing off every wall in the place if she could. She had to remain a little calm, or else she could disturb some plants. Now that wouldn't be good.
She beamed when the professor commented on her energy. He was her favorite professor, she felt that they had very similar interests and energy levels. "Thanks professor! I'm happy to be here!"

Marcus looked over his four students, definitely not the outcome he was hoping for, so he had his figers crossed for a few late arivals.
"Looks like an intense course for the five of us today." He said, looking over the students, "Lets get into it right. Now I don't know if you noticed, but I bought a surprise for you today..." He said, grinning madly to his students. The if you noticed was just a segway, there was no way that the students would have been able to ignore the three meter but 1 meter long box, who's contents were now thrashing (good thing he put a sticking charm on the sheet other wise it would have thrown it off. It was also trumpeting louder and louder. He was hoping that it would excite the students... rather than say... terrify them.
"So lets hear some guesses."

Oh gosh, that box was getting very rowdy. It was starting to make Jess very nervous. But at the same time she was very excited.
"An elephant!" She burst out ridiculously. 'This isn't care of magical creatures!' She scalded herself.

Marianne enjoyed guessing, and she enjoyed the mysterious plant at the front of the room. She could only imagine the endless possibilities of what could be hiding beneath the sheet.
One girl shouted out 'elephant' , and Marianne didn't know if she was amused or confused. Either way, she made a mental list of all the plants she wanted to shout out. "Honking Daffodil! Devil's Snare! Um, Bouncing Bulb!" She knew the daffodil made noise, and the snare and bulb moved a lot. So to her they seemed like really good, knowledgable guesses.
